DELHI TO GUWAHATI (State: Assam). Arrive at Guwahati LGBI Airport. Our representative will receive you on arrival and proceed to your hotel. Guwahati - situated on the Brahmaputra valley with state administrative and commercial hub Guwahati, is a city of temples and a gateway to the natural and unique cultural land of northeastern India. Evening enjoy sunset River cruise on great River Brahmaputra. Brahmaputra River originates in the Chemayungdung mountain ranges which nearly sixty miles south-east of Mansarovar lake in the Mount Kailash range in Southern Tibet travels 2880 km from its origin through the Tibet and India and finally merges with the sea in Bangladesh. The river enters Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh near Gelling where it is known as the Siang or Dihang. The SiangRiver meets two other major tributaries of Brahmaputra, Dibang and Lohit in the west of Sadiya, at a place named Kobo. From this confluence point, the river is known as the Brahmaputra till it enters Bangladesh. Dinner and overnight at hotel at Guwahati.
GUWAHATI TO KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK - 230Km in 4 Hrs by car. Morning after breakfast proceed for boating excursion to kukurmara (35 kms apx. one way) for Gangetic dolphins (River Dolphin) sighting on a Country boat in river kulsi. Gangetic dolphin is aquatic animal. They were found in large numbers before a few years but their number has come down due to different human activities such as fishing, poaching and dumping into the River. Return back to Guwahati. While return also visit the Dumping ground to see the most endangered Greater Adjutant Stork. After lunch drive to Kaziranga National park. Kaziranga- The destination that drags the name Assam in the world Tourist map is Kaziranga national Park. A UNESCO World Heritage site and a Tiger Reserve the park is World famous of the one Horned Rhinoceros. Kaziranga also boast the highest density of tiger and was declared as a tiger reserve in the Year of 2006. The Park has more than 450 species of birds, 18 of them are globally threatened species. The Bengal Florican is the main attraction. Because of the varied habitat types that the Park comprises of, birding in Kaziranga is very special. Apart from the tigers and Rhino and different birds the park is also home to other animals like Buffalo, Asiatic Elephant, Sambar, hog deer, swamp deer and wild boar. The varied terrain provides habitat for wetland, grassland, and woodland species. Dinner and overnight at Kaziranga.
KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK. Early morning Elephant ride (5.30-6.30 a.m. / 6.30-7.30 a.m.) in the Central range. Back to resort for breakfast followed by an exclusive jeep safari (7.30 a.m. onwards) in the central range. After lunch enjoy another jeep safari in the Western range (2.30 p.m. onwards) of the park - This ranges are good for birds such as Falcate Teal, White-eyed Pochard, Grey headed Fishing Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle, Pallas fish eagle, Greater/ Lesser adjutant stork, black necked stork, Woolly necked stork , Bar headed Geese , Whistling teals , Swamp francolin and Spot-billed pelican , Chestnut headed/ blue bearded bee eater , Cooper smith Barbets , Lineated barbet, Darter , Hornbill , Stork bill Kingfisher , Parakeets ,Indian roller , Brown fish Owlet , Asian barred owlet , Green billed Malkoha , common stonecahat , Golden fonted & green leafbird , crimson sunbird , slender billed vulture etc. Bengal Florican can also be seen in the central range. Apart from the birds one can also spot big game like One Horned Rhinoceros and Water Buffaloes. Dinner and overnight at Kaziranga.
KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK. Today Explore Eastern range of the Park by Jeep. The Eastern Range of the park is a formation of woodland, open water and grassland habitat and is good for water birds such as Falcated Teal, White-eyed Pochard and spot-billed pelican (a colony of 200 pairs is located in this range). Dark-throated Thrush, Yellow-footed Green Pigeon, Pallas & Grey-headed Fish Eagle, Changeable Hawk Eagle, Greater and Lesser Spotted Eagle, Pied and Hen Harrier, Greater and Lesser Adjutant, Purple Heron, Cotton Pygmy Geese, Spot-billed & Great White Pelican, Abbotts Babbler, Spot-winged Starling and Stork-billed Kingfisher, Red Junglefowl, Dollarbird, Lesser Coucal, Chestnut-capped Babbler, Streak-throated Woodpecker, Rufous-bellied Eagle, Pied Harrier , Red wattled Lapwing , Northern & river Lapwing , Ruddy shelduck , Emerald dove , Blue naped Pitta , kalij Pheasant and many more. Return back to your lodge. Evening enjoy the cultural programme at Kaziranga. Dinner and overnight at Kaziranga.
